2. NuWire Investor Ranks Rochester as the Number 1 Cash Flow Market in the U.S.!
NuWire Investor, an online resource for the real estate investor, ranked the Rochester market #1 in the country for cash flow properties. In ranking the top 10 U.S. markets, NuWire indentifies cash flow as one of the most important considerations when purchasing investment properties stating that "cash flow is easier to determine and lower risk". Rochester attained the top spot due to its low median housing and upkeep costs while maintaining healthy median gross rents.
The Buffalo market also rank in the top ten at #6 due to its low vacancy rates and median housing costs.

Expansion Management Expansion magazine, a periodical targeted to executives of companies actively looking to expand or relocate their facilities, released its 2007 "Quality of Life Quotient" and tapped Rochester, NY as #1 in the United States in terms of housing affordabiility, crime rates, public shools, traffic and commuting, standard of living, commerical air access, and continuing and Adult education opportunities. Rochester ranked ahead of all metro areas with populations of over 1 million residents. These include Pittsburgh, Austin, San Jose, Boston, Madison, Des Moine and Fargo.
The magazine is distributed to over 44,000 CEOs, vice presidents, directors, and other copanies who have indicated that they are cosidering moving or expanding into new geographic areas.

4. Rochester Rank #6 by Places Rated Almanac!
Places Rated Almanac released its latest ranking of 379 metropolitan areas and found that Rochester, New York has some of the finest cultural, educational and recreational assets in the country. Rochester was only one of two smaller-market cities to crack the top ten.

5. Tour Update
GenesisREI held and Investors Tour on May and then July of 2007 for investors from around the world who had a great time exploring Rochester and Buffalo and learning about investment opportunities in Western New York. 8. Buffalo and Rochester Metro Areas Rank Among Highest in Affordable Housing
The NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index ranks the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region and Rochester New York in the top ten of the most affordable major metro housing markets in the United States according to CNNMoney.com. During the thrid quarter of 2006 Buffalo-Niagara Falls ranked #4 on the nations most affordable major cities list with a median price of $88,000 and Rochester came in10th with a median home price of $117,000. The index measures the percentage of homes sold in a given area that are affordable to families earning that area's median income. To be deemed affordable, housing expenses must be no more than 28 percent of the median income.
